Sherman James Ashton, husband of Mabel (Waye) Ashton of CI Road, NB, occurred on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 79. Born in Trout Brook, NB, he was the son of the late Byron and Evelyn (McNeil) Ashton. Sherman was a retired Electrician who worked at Heath Steele Mines and Repap.
Besides his wife, Sherman is survived by: one daughter: Laura Lee Ashton (Ben Dick) of Napan, NB; one brother: John (Clarice) of Miramichi, NB; grandchildren: Ashton, Graham and Anne (Shunamon); great grandchildren: Reid Hebert, Bree Shunamon and Wyatt Sobey; nieces and nephews: Carmen Waye, Brenda Jardine, Reggie Waye, Rolland Waye, Dawn Hare, Tammy Ashton, James Ashton and Bruce Waye.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by: one sister: Rolla Waye.
Due to Covid-19, there will be no visitation. A private Funeral Service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel with Rev. Geza Szemök officiating.
