Robert Allen Trafton
1943 – 2021

Robert Allen Trafton of Miramichi, NB, passed away at his residence on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the age of 77. Born in Saint John, NB, Robert is the son of the late Edward George and Katie Mae (Ashton) Trafton.

Robert was a retired school bus driver with District 16 and was a member of CUPE Local 1127.

Robert is survived by three daughters: Noella Henderson of Nordin, NB, Lisa Hachey (Darren) of Nelson-Miramichi, NB and Chrystal Dedam (Clark Mitchell) of Esgenoopetitj, NB; nine grandchildren: Jessica, John, Brian, Kayla, Dustin, Dylan, Kelsey, Katelyn, Kendra and Chloe as well as several great grandchildren.

Robert is predeceased by his parents: Edward George and Katie Mae (Ashton) Trafton as well as one grandson: Michael.

A public visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi on Thursday, March 18th from 2-6 PM. A private funeral service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi on Friday, March 19th with Pastor Theo Craig officiating. Burial will take place at the Miramichi Cemetery later in the spring.

Covid 19 guidelines must be followed at the visitation and funeral service.

As expressions of sympathy, in Robert’s memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
