Randall “Dwight” Ward
1967 – 2021

Randall “Dwight” Ward of Tabusintac, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at the age of 54. Born in Newcastle, NB, he is the son of Joan (Joe) and the late Weldon Ward.

Dwight served with the United States Air Force, he also was a woods worker and most recently was a lobster fisherman. Dwight was athletic and enjoyed weightlifting. He loved to play hockey and was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan. Dwight was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and will be missed by his family.

Dwight is survived by his mother: Joan Ward of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; daughter: Novia Shaye Ward of Tabusintac, NB; granddaughter: Violet Victoria Ward; sister: Carla Ward of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; brothers: Darryl Ward, Weldon “Kimberly” Ward (Joyce Augustine) and Nathan Ward (Candace) all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Besides his father: Weldon, Dwight is predeceased by brothers: Derek and Kevin Ward.

Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway on Wednesday, March 17 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Esgenoôpetitj on Thursday, March 18, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Father Peter Aloo officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring.

Please note: Due to COVID-19 restrictions the use of facial mask and social distancing will be observed at both the visitation and funeral service.
