Merlyn Bedford Forsythe, husband of Carmel (Matchett) Forsythe of Boom Road, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, February 26th, 2021 at the age of 82.
Born in Boom Road, NB, Merlyn was the son of the late Edward and Edith (Sherrard) Forsythe. Merlyn retired in 1996 as a Heavy Duty Mechanic after 42 years. Merlyn loved camping, four wheeling, and enjoyed going to the camp.
Merlyn is survived by his wife: Carmel (Matchett) Forsythe; one son: Michael Forsythe of Boom Road, NB; one niece: Daphne (Leonard) McClenaghan of Boom Road,NB ; three nephews: Terry (Wendy) Matthews, Eddie (Phyllis) Matthews, both of Whitney, NB and Ricky (Paula) Matthews of Miramichi.
Merlyn is predeceased by his parents: Edward and Edith (Sherrard) Forsythe; two sisters: Annie (Percy Matthews) and Verna; one brother: Bervel (Janie Matchett) as well as one nephew: Robie Forsythe.
At Merlyn’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
As expressions of sympathy, in Merlyn’s memory, donations may be made to St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church (Red Bank) General Fund or St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church Restoration Fund (Red Bank).
