The death of Mary “Hilda” Peter Paul of Red Bank, NB, occurred on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the age of 79. Born in Red Bank, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lemme and Mary (Cloud) Peter Paul. Over the years, Hilda worked at various jobs and was a business owner including: Hilly’s to Go. She had a very caring nature and was very involved with the Elders and would always visit those in the hospital. She was also an Activist for the Native Community.
Hilda is survived by: one daughter: Pamela Holthaus of Florida, USA; one son: Samuel Holthaus of South Carolina, USA; one sister: Alice Johnston (John) of Fredericton, NB; one brother: Vincent (Donna) Peter Paul of Red Bank, NB; five grandchildren: Kaligh Holtaus, Hannah Marie Holthaus, Julia Holthaus, Sabien Gitpu Holthaus and Aaron Miller; two great grandchildren: Mila Flores and Natalie Sky Evans as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Hilda is predeceased by her son: Jerry Holthaus; brothers: Issac and Benedict and father of her children: Gerald Holthaus.
The family will receive visitors at Meadows Funeral Home, 150 Northwest Road, Sunny Corner on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 4-8 PM. Please note: Due to Covid-19 social distancing guidelines will be adhered to, also community face masks are strongly encouraged. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11 AM with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Please Note: Due to Covid-19 seating will be limited for the service and all public health guidelines will be followed.
