It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden death of Shawn Thomas Donahue, on July 11th, 2020, at the early age of 47, in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Shawn was born on September 18th, 1972, in Chatham, N.B. and raised in Barnaby River.
He will be forever remembered by his loving wife Natalie (Roberts) and his 8 year old twins, Kate and Nolan, his parents Margaret and Carroll Donahue, his sister Dawn Donahue, his brother Kevin Donahue (Sabrina), nieces and nephews Findley, Reagan, Kylee and Declan, sister-in-law Tracy Endersby (Randy), mother-in-law Nora Ann Roberts (Tommy), his aunts and uncles Karen Mahoney (Pat), Jimmy Foley (Betty), Billy Foley (Marianne), John Donahue (Peggy). He was predeceased by his grandparents Josephine and Brian Donahue and Margaret and Edward Foley.

Shawn first and foremost loved his family and that included his closest friends. He not only took pride in where he was raised but also made Peace River and finally Medicine Hat as his second homes. Shawn was described by many as the most kind and welcoming guy they knew and shared his love of Harleys, cars, and music with everyone he met. He made sure that anyone in need was taken care of, even if it was a stranger by the side of the road. He was also truly valued and respected in his career as a Power Engineer. He will be forever missed and loved by all who knew him.

Due to COVID-19 a private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from The Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Barnaby River, NB on Thursday, August 6, 2020 with Father Anthony Dass Papu officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
