Jennie Elizabeth LeGresley
1934 – 2020

Jennie Elizabeth LeGresley of Miramichi, NB wife of Edward LeGresley passed away at Miramichi Regional Hospital on May 31, 2020 at the age 85. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Monica (Pitre) Hay.

Jennie was a homemaker. She worked many jobs over the years, Sticklen’s in the 50’s and 60’s, LeGresley’s Trucking, school cafeteria and Chukwag’n Restaurant.
Jennie was an avid reader, loved to knit and crochet, cooking and baking for family and friends, and also took on painting pictures in later years.

Jennie is survived by her husband, Edward; four daughters: Linda Sturgeon, Exeter, ON, Debbie Aresenault of Miramichi, NB, Susan Vankeirsbilck (Brian) of Woodstock, ON and Beverley Landry (Kevin), Miramichi, NB; one son: Kevin LeGresley (Annette Richard) of Miramichi, NB; four sisters: Roberta Ford, Marie Morton (Roger) both of St. Catherine’s, ON, Chris O’Toole (Walter), Rhona Muir (George), Dianne Scott all of Miramichi, NB; ten grandchildren: Jennifer Martin, Marilyn Sturgeon, Stephanie Ouellet, Matthew Arsenault, Elodie Ingram, Beth Vankeirsbilck and Brad Vankeirsbilck, Kyle LeGresley, Kortney LeGresley and Mark Landry; sixteen great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Jennie is predeceased by her parents; brothers: William, Lawrence, Johnny; sisters: Shirley Moorehouse, Marilyn Churchill, Opal Olsen; one infant sister: Linda.

Due to COVID-19, there will be a private family visitation. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery at a later time.
