1940-2020


Rose Helena Duffy of White Rapids, NB; passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at the age of 79. Born in White Rapids, NB, Rose was the daughter of the late Brian and Gertrude (Nash) Duffy. Rose was a babysitter, a member of the White Rapids C.W.L., a member of the White Rapids Jam Session and an avid Montreal Canadiens fan.
Rose is survived by six sisters: Pauline Hollier (Buddy) of White Rapids, NB, Catherine Duffy (Shirley) of White Rapids, NB, Margaret Keenan (Gerard) of Keenans, NB, Beatrice Vickers (Ronnie) of Keenans, NB, Darlene Donovan (Dean) of Renous, NB and Debbie Duffy (Louis) of Nelson, NB; four brothers: Edward Duffy of Grand Prairie, AB, Brian Duffy (Noreen) of Dieppe, NB, Gervase Duffy (Iris) of Douglastown, NB and James Duffy (Roberta) of Gray Rapids, NB; twenty nine nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Rose is predeceased by her parents: Gertrude (Nash) and Brian Vincent Duffy, one brother in law: Darryl Donovan; one great niece: Falon Sturgeon and one great nephew: Chandler Coughlan.
Visitation will take place at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous NB in the Father Murdock Memorial Room on Wednesday, March 11th, 2020 from 7-9 PM and again on Thursday, March 12th, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, NB on Friday, March 13th, 2020 at 11 AM with Father Dan Bastarache officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, in Rose’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
