Gregory Joseph Keating
1963-2020

Gregory Joseph Keating passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on January 3rd, 2020 at the age of 56 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Miramichi, Greg was the son of Val and Lois Keating. Greg taught in the Yukon for 30 years. He was a proud graduate of North & South Esk. He obtained a science degree from Mount Allison, a BEd from St. Thomas University and his Master in Education.
Greg is survived by his parents: Val and Lois Keating; sister: Valerie (Brian) Bowes; brothers: Perry (Claudia), Lindsay (Julie), Bernard (Jane); son: Luke John and daughter: Samantha (Russell) McDiarmid of Whitehorse, YT; two grandchildren: Addison and Brooke; his partner Dawna Nowlan as well as several nieces and nephews.
Greg was predeceased by his grandparents: Allan and Janie Keating, Murdock and Laura MacKenzie as well as one nephew: Scott Bowes.
A public Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, NB on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 11 AM with Father Dan Melanson officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, in Greg’s memory, donations may be made to St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church Fund or the Miramichi Regional Hospital Foundation.
The Family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Losier and the Nursing Staff on 3 East for all their care and professionalism.
