Gisele Catherine Savoy
1937-2019

Gisele Catherine Savoy, wife of the late Donald Savoy of Miramichi, passed away at Losier Hall on Saturday, October 26th, 2019, at the age of 81.
Gisele was the daughter of the late Guy and Anita (Rioux) Violette. Gisele was a retired cosmetician with Shopper's Drug Mart, Douglastown. Gisele enjoyed gardening, walking and loved to spend time with her family.
Gisele is survived by two daughters: Donna McGee (Brent) and Paula Savoy-Drillen (Gordie), both of Miramichi, NB; one son: Greg Savoy (Dr. Paula Keating) of Miramichi, NB; three sisters: Vicky Givskud (Mogens) of Drummond, NB , Claudette Violette (Paul) of Australia and Beatrice Violette-Raymond of Montreal, QC; two brothers: Gilles Violette of Levis, QC and Raymond Violette of Vancouver, BC; nine grandchildren: Philip, Nicole, Melissa, Chris, Jonathan, Gregory, Jordan, Nadine and Andrew; three great grandchildren: Rexton, Quinn and Spencer; sister-in-law Lorraine Cloutier (Ray) of Winnipeg MB as well as several nieces and nephews.
Gisele is predeceased by her parents: Guy and Anita (Rioux) Violette; three brothers: Reginald, Rosiare and Vincent as well as one daughter: Beth MacDougall.
At Gisele’s request, there will be no visitation. A public Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church, Douglastown on Tuesday, October 29th, 2019 at 11 AM with Father Rodrigo Tabilona officiating. Burial will take place in St. Samuel’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, in Gisele’s memory, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
