Joseph “Allie” Aloysius Augustine

Joseph “Allie” Aloysius Augustine, husband of Monica ( Bernard ) Augustine of Red Bank, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, September 28th at the age of 79. Born in Miramichi, Allie was the son of the late Joseph Michael and Mary( Metallic) Augustine.
Allie was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the woods.
Besides his wife Monica, Allie is survived by one step daughter: Vera Marie Denny (Roger Sherrard) of Chatham, NB; three step sons: James “Junior” Denny (Ingrid Marie Godin) , George Andrew Denny and Noram Joseph Denny, all of Eel Ground, NB; three sisters: Marion Sappier, Elizabeth Powell (late Barry) and Annie Mae Morrison (Norman), all of Red Bank, NB; two brothers: Robert Augustine (late Gert) of Warren, ME and Howard Augustine of Red Bank; special cousin: Bobby Patles of Red Bank, NB; several step grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Allie is predeceased by two sisters: Madeline Augustine and Mary Jane Metallic (Dixon) and one brother: Willie John.
Visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home, 150 Northwest Rd., Sunny Corner on Sunday, September 30th from 7-9 PM and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church , Red Bank on Tuesday, October 2nd at 11 AM with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Burial will take place in in Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, in Allie’s memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
